FIRST YEAR, HAPPENING NOW STATE TROOPERS ARE LOOKING FOR THE DRIVER WHO TOOK OFF FROM A CRASH THEY CAUSED THIS EVENING IN ASHEBORO. THE DRIVER IN THAT CAR THAT THEY HIT IS IN THE HOSPITAL WITH SERIOUS INJURIES. THIS HAPPENED ON HIGHWAY 64, AROUND A QUARTER TO SIX HIGHWAY PATROL SAYS THE DRIVER OF A BLACK SUV HIT A CAR WHILE TRYING TO PASS THEM IN THE TURNING LANE. THAT DRIVER WENT OFF THE ROAD DOWN AN EMBANKMENT AND ENDED UP HITTING A TREE. INVESTIGATORS ARE TRYING TO FIND A LEXUS RX 350 SUV WITH NORTH CAROLINA LICENSE PLATE R, D P 1851. Investigators are searching for the driver of a black 2017 Lexus RX 350 SUV that was last seen east on U.S. 64 from Westbury Drive at the time of the crash. According to a news release, State Highway Patrol was called to a report of a crash Wednesday on U.S. 64 near Westbury Drive in Randolph County.
Investigators are searching for the driver of a black 2017 Lexus RX 350 SUV that was last seen east on U.S. 64 from Westbury Drive at the time of the crash.
