A JUDGE SET BOND AT $1 MILLION. INVESTIGATORS SAY THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES GOT A CALL WEEKS BEFORE THE DEADLY FIRE, SAYING THE CHILDREN WERE REGULARLY LEFT HOME ALONE. POLICE SAY STURDIVANT ADMITTED TO USING THE OVEN TO HEAT THE HOME. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO PINPOINT WHAT CAUSED THAT FIRE. A SUSPECT IS NOW RECOVERING FROM THEIR INJURIES IN JAIL AFTER SURRY COUNTY DEPUTIES SHOT HIM. 62 YEAR-OLD ALAN BEAMAN FACES SIX CHARGES, INCLUDING ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON IN THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE SAYS IT RESPONDED TO A. CALL ABOUT A FALL AND A MAN THREATENING TO HARM HIMSELF AT A HOME IN PILOT MOUNTAIN. DEPUTIES TELL US BEAMAN FIRED HIS GUN AT THEM AS THEY ARRIVED, AND DEPUTIES RETURNED FIRE, HITTING BEAMAN. Four people have been charged in connection to a shooting and car chase in the Triad, according to officials with the Winston-Salem Police Department.On Tuesday, around 11:30 a.m., WSPD officers were called to the 2600 block of Peachtree Street about a shooting.
