SHE IS STILL IN JAIL WITH NO BOND. MORE BREAKING NEWS ON THIS FRIDAY. WE’RE NOW HEARING FROM THE FAMILY OF A WINSTON-SALEM MAN WHO WAS KILLED AFTER A FIGHT WITH AN OFF-DUTY OFFICER IN SOUTH CAROLINA. THE MEDICAL EXAMINER IDENTIFIED THE VICTIM AS MICHAEL O’NEILL, A SPOKESPERSON FOR THE FAMILY GAVE WXII 12 NEWS THIS STATEMENT. IT SAYS, QUOTE, WE APPRECIATE THE LOVE AND SUPPORT OF THE COMMUNITIES AND FRIENDS. THIS IS A SENSELESS, DIFFICULT TIME AND NOT DESERVED BY ANYONE. IT GOES ON TO SAY, QUOTE, MICHAEL WAS HILARIOUS, LOVING AND THE LIGHT OF THE ROOM IN ANY SITUATION. WE APPRECIATE PRIVACY AT THIS TIME. WHILE WE HAVE THE CHANCE TO GRIEVE OUR LOSS. OFFICIALS SAY O’NEILL WAS SHOT WEDNESDAY IN A CHICK FIL A PARKING LOT IN THE TOWN OF SUMMERVILLE. THAT’S NORTHWEST OF CHARLESTON, THE NBC AFFILIATE THERE REPORTS PRIOR TO THE GUNFIRE, THE OFFICER WAS HIT BY A CAR. THEY WERE SENT TO THE HOSPITAL FOR NON-LIFE THREATENING INJURIES. The family of a Winston-Salem man who was shot and killed near a South Carolina Chick-fil-A has released a statement.According to the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office, the shooting happened Wednesday, around 1:20 p.m., near the Chick-fil-A on North Main Street in Summerville, South Carolina.The coroner's office identified the victim as Michael O'Neal, 39, of Winston-Salem. The family of a Winston-Salem man who was shot and killed near a South Carolina Chick-fil-A has released a statement.

According to the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office, the shooting happened Wednesday, around 1:20 p.m., near the Chick-fil-A on North Main Street in Summerville, South Carolina.
