Three students at North Carolina A&T State University are making HBCU history.
They have been selected for the Astronaut Scholarship.
This is the first time a historically Black university has more than one student awarded the Astronaut Scholarship at the same time.
The three ladies say it's an honor to be chosen.
Kristi Barnes, Maya Odom and Breyana Robinson are proof that you can achieve any goal that you set your mind to.

They are all 2023 Astronaut Scholarship winners from North Carolina A&T State University.
"It's very empowering to see Black women in their respective fields be a part of this cohort," said Kristi Barnes, who wants to become a chemical engineer.
"To be able to win this award, it was surreal. I was like, ‘Oh my gosh," animal science major Breyana Robinson said.
"I was thankful to get the scholarship," said Maya Odom, who wants to become a computer engineer.
The scholarship is awarded to students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Each receives $15,000.
"It definitely helps me towards my goals because I want to go to vet school. I want to go to grad school," Robinson said.
While being recognized for their hard work, the trio is also helping N.C. A&T make history.
"It didn't really know the gravity of it until the scout really told me that this was the first time an HBCU ever had more than one scholar, or that there were three of us who got the scholarship," Odom said.
"I’m just really proud to be making history there," Barnes said.
The Astronaut Scholarship was founded in 1984 by the surviving members of the Mercury 7 crew members. It requires an essay and letters of recommendation.
