CHRISTINA? WE’RE ACTUALLY AT THE WINSTON SALEM POLICE DEPARTMENT AS OFFICIALS DID CLEAR THAT SCENE ON EAST FRANKFURT EARLIER THIS MORNING. BUT THAT NEIGHBOR DOES TELL ME POLICE HAVE BEEN CALLED TO THAT AREA SEVERAL TIMES IN THE PAST FEW WEEKS. HERE’S A VIDEO FROM THE SCENE THAT WE GOT EARLIER THIS MORNING. POLICE LEFT AROUND 430 AND NOW THEY’RE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHO SHOT INTO THAT TRAILER ON EAST BRAGG STREET. POLICE TELL US THE CALL CAME IN ABOUT 220 THIS MORNING. THEY SAY A 30 YEAR OLD MAN WAS SHOT IN THE BACK AND IS IN CRITICAL CONDITION. A 16 YEAR OLD BOY HAS A DEEP GRAZE TO THE SHOULDER, BUT POLICE TELL US HIS INJURY IS NON-LIFE THREATENING. WE DON’T HAVE ANY DETAILS FROM POLICE ABOUT A SUSPECT RIGHT NOW, BUT A NEIGHBOR I SPOKE WITH OVER THE PHONE TOLD US SHE’S LIVED IN THE SOUTH SIDE AREA FOR MOST OF HER LIFE AND THIS IS THE WORST SHE’S SEEN IT. SHE OFTEN SAYS SHE SAYS SHE OFTENTIMES RATHER HEARS ARGUMENTS AND SAYS THIS WAS THE SAME TUNE LAST NIGHT. BUT THIS TIME SHE HEARD SOMEONE SAY, I’LL BE BACK. THE WOMAN TELLS US SHE SAW SOMEONE PULL UP IN A VAN AND FIRE SEVERAL SHOTS AND DROVE OFF. POLICE DID TELL US THEY BELIEVE THIS WAS A DRIVE BY SHOOTING AND THE WOMAN DID ALSO TELL US THAT HER FAMILY IS AFFECTED BY THIS AS THEY DON’T FEEL SAFE AND HER KIDS WILL NOT BE GOING TO SCHOOL THIS MORNING BECAUSE THEY’RE SCARED. Winston-Salem police: Multiple shooters in drive-by shooting that injured two people

Winston-Salem police are investigating a shooting in the 2700 block of E. Sprague Street. Police said someone called at 2:21 a.m. Friday to report shots fired. Then another person called to report someone shooting into a trailer. Officers found arrived and found two people injured. A 30-year-old man was shot in the back and a 16-year-old was grazed in the shoulder, according to police.Police said someone in a gray vehicle drove by the trailer and multiple people shot at the trailer.A neighbor told WXII that police have been called to this area several times in the past few weeks.
