Star Connor is an Anchor/Reporter at WXII 12 and Triad CW.  Star joined the team in September 2023 after spending two years working on the East Coast of North Carolina, where she anchored and reported for WCTI News Channel 12.  Star is thrilled to be closer to home, which is Gastonia, North Carolina and back in the Triad where she attended college at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.  Star started her career as an On-Air Talent and Producer at Radio One Charlotte in 2010. During her time at Radio One, Star was able to dig deep into Entertainment News covering red carpets including The Grammys, BET Awards, Dove Awards, and many other events.  Star worked in the radio industry for 6 years before moving to Alpena, Michigan where she wore many hats as an TV Anchor, Producer, Weathercaster, and Reporter at WBKB News. After that Star made her way to West Virginia, where she worked for NBC Affiliate, WVVA News in Bluefield. There, Star was a Reporter.  When Star isn't on-air you can catch her walking her dog, King, hiking, cooking, eating at the newest restaurants, hanging out with her girlfriends, writing more chapters as a Best-Selling author, traveling, and watching her niece Kelani, and nephews, Ethan and Evan. Star is a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
