Upon arrival, deputies learned that one of the neighbors involved, Ricky Prevette, 61, had outstanding warrants for his arrest. Prevette had retreated to his home by the time deputies arrived. Officers said they attempted to talk with Prevette but were unsuccessful. The Wilkes County Sheriff's Office's Critical Response Team was dispatched to the scene around 7:30 p.m., and attempts were made to talk him out of his home. Watch: NOWCAST streaming newscasts At approximately 2:15 a.m. on Monday, Prevette was removed from his home without injury and placed into custody. On Sunday, around 5:10 p.m., deputies with the Wilkes County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to 2764 Rock Creek Road in North Wilkesboro regarding a disturbance between neighbors. Upon arrival, deputies learned that one of the neighbors involved, Ricky Prevette, 61, had outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Prevette had retreated to his home by the time deputies arrived. Officers said they attempted to talk with Prevette but were unsuccessful. The Wilkes County Sheriff's Office's Critical Response Team was dispatched to the scene around 7:30 p.m., and attempts were made to talk him out of his home.
