RIGHT NOW. THE FIRST AT 4:00. THE OWNER OF A GREENSBORO BAR AND RESTAURANT IS BEING CHARGED AFTER THIS SHOOTING AT THE BUSINESS JUST LAST WEEKEND. KARA PETERS JOINS US LIVE THIS FRIDAY AFTERNOON WITH WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT THIS NEW INVESTIGATION. KARA? YEAH, DEVONTE ACCORDING TO ALCOHOL, LAW ENFORCEMENT, SPECIAL AGENTS ARRESTED BOBBY BULLINS LAST SATURDAY. AND AS YOU MENTIONED, THIS ALL STEMMED BACK FROM A SHOOTING OUTSIDE THE BAR AND GRILL HERE ON BATTLEGROUND AVENUE LAST FRIDAY. BULLINS IS CHARGED WITH ALLOWING AFFRAY OR FIGHTING, ALLOWING CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE VIOLATIONS AND FAILURE TO MANAGE ALL ON A LICENSED PREMISES. ACCORDING TO GREENSBORO POLICE, TWO PEOPLE WERE INJURED IN THAT SHOOTING. NANCY VAUGHN HAPPENED TO BE ON A RIDE ALONG WITH POLICE AT THE TIME OF THE CALL. SHE DESCRIBED SEEING, QUOTE, AN ASTOUNDING NUMBER OF BULLET CASINGS, END QUOTE, ON THE GROUND, AND SAYS THERE HAVE BEEN ISSUES WITH ELECTRIC TEQUILA FOR YEARS. MAYOR VAUGHN ALSO SAID THERE HAVE BEEN CONVERSATIONS BETWEEN THE LANDLORD AND OTHER NEARBY BUSINESSES REGARDING ISSUES AS WELL. THE CITY SAYS THEY PLAN TO FILE A NUISANCE ABATEMENT TO EITHER HAVE THE BUSINESS CHANGED OR SHUT DOWN. AND REALLY QUICKLY, I WANT TO SHOW YOU ALL WHAT WE’RE SEEING OUT HERE RIGHT NOW. THIS IS A PRETTY POPULAR AREA ON BATTLEGROUND AVENUE. A LOT OF BUSINESSES, BUT IF YOU GET CLOSER, YOU CAN SEE THAT THERE’S REALLY NOT MUCH ACTION HAPPENING OUTSIDE OF THE BUSINESS. WE DID SEE A SIGN AND WHEN WE GOT CLOSER, IT SAID THAT THE LANDLORD, LORD HAS TAKEN OVER THE BUSINESS. WE ALSO HAVE NOT SEEN A LOT OF PEOPLE JUST IN THE AREA, CERTAINLY NOT HERE AT THE BUSINESS, ACCORDING TO ALCOHOL LAW ENFORCEMENT. BOLIN’S SURREND AND HIS ABC PERMITS ON TUESDAY. A Greensboro bar owner could face criminal charges following a shooting on Saturday outside the Electric Tequila. Alcohol Law Enforcement (ALE) special agents arrested 41-year-old Bobby Bullins of Eden, North Carolina.Bullins is charged with allowing affray or fighting, allowing controlled substance violations, and failure to manage superintend, all on licensed premises. We reached out to Bullins for comment. He denied being the owner of the business and declined to speak further.Greensboro Police said two people were injured after a shooting outside the bar and grill on Battleground Avenue in Greensboro.
