NEXT MONTH. WE’RE FOLLOWING BREAKING NEWS OUT OF ELKIN RIGHT NOW. THE POLICE DEPARTMENT SAYS IT HAS TAKEN A STUDENT INTO CUSTODY AFTER A THREAT OF VIOLENCE WAS MADE AGAINST ELKINS CITY SCHOOLS. THAT, AS YOU MIGHT KNOW, PROMPTED THE DISTRICT TO CANCEL CLASSES TODAY. POLICE SAY SINCE THE SUSPECT IS A JUVENILE, IT CAN NOT RELEASE ANY MORE INFORMATION. A suspect is now in custody after Elkin City Schools received a threat to its student and staff.
