CONDITION. A FAMILY IS MOURNING A JUVENILE WHO DIED DURING A RODEO EVENT IN KINGS COUNTY. EMS TELLS US THAT THEY GOT A CALL ABOUT A CARDIAC ARREST AT RAFTER CARE RODEO ON SOUTH MAIN STREET. MEDICAL PERSONNEL ON STANDBY AT THE EVENT SATURDAY NIGHT PERFORMED CPR UNTIL MEDICS ARRIVE. THE JUVENILE WAS TAKEN TO ATRIUM HEALTH WAKE FOREST BAPTIST HOSPITAL IN WINSTON-SALEM, WHERE HE LATER DIED. OFFICIALS HAVE NOT RELEASED THE AGE OF THE VICTIM, BUT RAFTER RADIO POSTED THIS STATEMENT ON SOCIAL MEDIA, SAYING IN PART, QUOTE, THIS IS A TRAGIC EVENT AND WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE THE PAIN FELT BY THIS LOSS. A juvenile was killed during a bull riding competition in Stokes County. Stokes County Emergency Services confirmed the minor was killed at 8:24 p.m. on Saturday, at Rafter K Rodeo on South Main Street.The cause of death is unconfirmed.
