Kelly Kendall joined the WXII 12 News family in January 2024 as a Reporter.

Kelly is a Triad native, and in fact, was inspired to become a reporter after a third-grade visit to WXII. She went on to intern at WXII in 2022. Kelly has also interned with MSNBC’s Morning Joe in New York City.

Kelly is a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill majoring in Journalism with the Hussman School of Journalism and Media. She is also a history minor. During her time at UNC, she anchored and reported for Carolina Week, covering stories including the deadly shooting at UNC in August, the economic struggles of local businesses, and has even gotten her yearly flu shot live on air.

When not working, you can find Kelly dressed head-to-toe in Carolina Blue rooting for the Tar Heels. She also loves to workout, bake, and spend time with her cats, Pixie and Luna.
