North Carolina man facing several new child sex charges out of Randolph County, deputies say
A Triad man is facing several charges in connection to a minor-involved sex offense, according to deputies with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.

On Jan. 11, Randolph County deputies received word of a possible sex offense involving a minor.
Following an investigation, detectives with the Criminal Investigation Unit sought charges against Jeremiah Chaney for 10 counts of felony first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

On March 18, Chaney, 19, was found, arrested, and taken into custody at the Randolph County Detention Center, where he was served the warrants.
Chaney’s bond was set at $75,000, and he is due in court on Tuesday.

He is also facing additional charges of felony statutory sex offense with a child less than or equal to 15 and felony disseminate obscenity. He has a $25,000 bond for the additional charges.
