Officers said 25-year-old Demontau Patterson died on Wednesday from his injuries.

Police said they responded to the 2900 block of Old Greensboro Road on Sunday around 7:17 p.m.

Investigators said the driver of a dirt bike was speeding on the road with no lights or safety equipment.
