A Triad man is facing child sex charges out of Virginia, according to deputies with the Henry County Sheriff's Office.On Jan. 4, 2024, the Henry County Sheriff's Office Internet Crimes Against Children investigative unit began an undercover chat operation. During the conversations, he believed he was chatting with a 13-year-old to meet for a sexual encounter.Keep up with the latest news and weather by downloading the WXII app here.On March 14, Henry County deputies went to Forsyth County, and with the assistance of the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, a search warrant was executed at Albers' residence, and he was taken into custody.Albers, 63, was charged with four counts of use of communications systems to solicit a juvenile and two counts of attempted production of child pornography.Watch: NOWCAST streaming newscastsAlbers is being held at the Forsyth County Detention Center without bond.
