Florida woman celebrates 106th birthday with first-time visit to Disney World
A Florida woman turned 106 years old on Thursday and celebrated the milestone by taking a trip to Walt Disney World for the first time ever.
The woman's name is Magnolia Jackson, and her love for Disney grew in 2023 when she saw Mickey Mouse perform at a Florida Classic college football game in Orlando.
After the game, Jackson said her love for all Disney things was ignited.
On Wednesday, Disney made Jackson's dreams come true by greeting her at the Magic Kingdom with a cheering cast, which included Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
The celebration included colorful balloons, happy birthday signs, music and even a huge birthday cake for Jackson.
Jackson currently lives in Gainesville and is also the oldest living graduate of Bethune-Cookman University in nearby Daytona Beach.
She was able to celebrate her birthday to the fullest as she made her way around the Magic Kingdom, meeting Princess Tiana and then taking part in EPCOT's International Flower & Garden Festival.
