HAPPEN AT 7 A.M. ON THURSDAY DAY. THE CITY OF NORMAN COMING TOGETHER TO BOOST ONE OF ITS PARKS TODAY, WHILE IT IS A MISSION OF THE CITY TO KEEP THEIR PARKS CLEAN AND UNLIKELY EVENT HOST AT THE AGE OF SEVEN YEARS OLD LED A CLEANUP EFFORT WITH MANY PEOPLE HELPING OUT. COCO DAKOTA KAI IS LIVE IN NORMAN, DAKOTA. THE MAYOR TOLD YOU THIS IS SOMETHING THAT MAKES HIM INSPIRED BY THE YOUNGER GENERATION. YEAH, THAT SEVEN YEAR OLD IS ACTUALLY IMPRESSED. NORMAN MAYOR LARRY HAIL CORE AND THEY AND MANY OTHERS, THEY MET UP RIGHT HERE AT THE ENTRANCE OF SUTTON WILDERNESS PARK, AND THEY GOT TO PICKING UP TRASH. NOW, THE EVENT STARTED EARLIER THIS AFTERNOON AND ENDED JUST A LITTLE BIT AGO. HACLA SAYS THEY PICKED UP AROUND 100 POUNDS OF TRASH. NOW, THIS IS SOMETHING SHE STARTED A YEAR AGO. ACCORDING TO NORMAN NATURE CLUB’S WEBSITE, A CLUB THAT SHE ACTUALLY STARTED TO INSPIRE PEOPLE TO KEEP NATURE BEAUTIFUL. NOW TODAY, THE MAYOR, ALONGSIDE MANY OTHERS, HELPED THIS GIRL FULFILL HER MISSION OF CLEANING UP SUTTON WILDERNESS PARK. PEOPLE ARE GENERALLY HAPPY TO SEE STUFF GETTING CLEANED UP. IT GIVES ME GREAT HOPE AND WHAT’S COMING OUT OF THAT GENERATION IN. NOW THE NORMAN NATURE CLUB AND THAT SEVEN YEAR OLD HAVE CLEANUPS AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH. ON THE SECOND SATURDAY OF EACH MONT

Residents of an Oklahoma city came together to clean up one of the city's parks at the direction of an unlikely host.A 7-year-old led the initiative to keep a Norman, Oklahoma, park clean, which is something that both inspired and impressed Mayor Larry Heikkila.Video above: 7-year-old leads charge to clean up city parkThe child and other volunteers spent their afternoon cleaning up trash from George M.
