Something exploded in the back of a home on Peachtree Street in Winston-Salem Tuesday afternoon, causing a fire. Winston-Salem Police Officers were on the scene within seconds to help the family get out safely. They were already in the area responding to a shooting on Peachtree Street. “Yesterday it was my daughters birthday. I went to take her pizza and to give her gift at school when I got the call that my house was on fire," Shante Miller, mother of four said. She says diapers, clothes and necessities would help. "Anything would help. Would just be grateful for anything.
