Bo Gilliam, the owner of Triad Pest Control, started decades ago, giving out free services to a few older adults that needed the help. After seeing the need, he decided to make it a part of his business. For decades, Triad Pest Control has helped thousands of seniors by offering free services. "We found out that a lot of seniors need help," Gilliam said. So now whenever someone calls, Gilliam asks how they can help and if they're an older adult.Winston-Salem resident Phyllis Daniels was one of those people. "The roaches were just too much for me I just couldn’t take it," Daniels said.A typical service to eradicate roaches, ants, spiders, and rodents ranges from $125 to $175. Daniels says it would've been a lot for her to pay. “It’s a lot of money to us who don’t have it. I’m on a budget, I really couldn’t afford it to pay for an exterminator to come and do it, and it was a blessing that I was offered this opportunity," Daniels said.
