How the fittest blind woman on Earth tests her limits and more stories featuring amazing women
Since she was a young child, Erica Powell has had a passion for sports and competition. After cancer treatments as an infant left her legally blind, Erica has refused to allow her disability to slow her down. Beyond being the fittest blind woman in the world, she is fueled to become a world-class athlete and a beacon of inspiration to others.
Erica Powell’s accomplishments include being a Level 10 gymnast, Division 1 cheerleader and Paralympic Track & Field Trial qualifier, and in 2022, she became the CrossFit Games Fittest on Earth.
You can stream her story in the Very Local Original series episode: “The Spark Greenville: Blind CrossFit Champion.”
