We’re in the thick of tax season and you may have a ton of questions. You’re in a hurry to get your taxes done – and you might have questions – but there’s something you need to know. These next few weeks – are the worst time to call the IRS for help. Last year – The Taxpayer Advocate Service said the telephone service answered 35% of calls it received compared to 13% in 2022. So Instead of calling, here are some tools to help you. Go here: to irs.gov/help/tools.You’re going to find everything from a tax withholding calculator you can use to credit and deduction help. At the top, there’s an interactive Tax Assistant link. It can walk you through figuring out what income is taxable, what your filing status is and who you can claim as a dependent.
