POLICE HAVE CHARGED MUSTAFA MOLINA WITH FAILING TO STOP AT A RED LIGHT AND MISDEMEANOR DEATH BY MOTOR VEHICLE. A driver has been charged after the death of a motorcyclist in a crash that occurred near Peters Creek Parkway, according to officials with the Winston-Salem Police Department. The driver of the motorcycle, James Williams, was taken to a nearby hospital but died shortly after arrival.The other vehicle involved, a semi-tractor with an attached trailer, was found a short distance away on Silas Creek Parkway. Investigators say the driver of the semitruck was on Silas Creek Parkway and failed to stop at the red light. The Semi-tractor was driving on Peters Creek Parkway with a green light in their direction. That’s when the tractor hit Williams.Following the investigation, the driver of the semitruck, Mustafa Manena, was charged with failure to stop at a steady red light and misdemeanor death by motor vehicle. A driver has been charged after the death of a motorcyclist in a crash that occurred near Peters Creek Parkway, according to officials with the Winston-Salem Police Department.

On Wednesday, around 2:13 p.m., WSPD officers responded to a vehicle crash at the intersection of Peters Creek Parkway and Silas Creek Parkway.

When officers arrived, they saw a motorcycle was in the road. The driver of the motorcycle, James Williams, was taken to a nearby hospital but died shortly after arrival.

The other vehicle involved, a semi-tractor with an attached trailer, was found a short distance away on Silas Creek Parkway. That driver was not injured.

WSPD’s Traffic Enforcement Unit began investigating the crash. Investigators say the driver of the semitruck was on Silas Creek Parkway and failed to stop at the red light. The Semi-tractor was driving on Peters Creek Parkway with a green light in their direction. That’s when the tractor hit Williams.

Following the investigation, the driver of the semitruck, Mustafa Manena, was charged with failure to stop at a steady red light and misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.

Manena was released from custody and is due in court on April 2, 2024.
