WISCONSIN AND IOWA FOR THE SURRY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE, SAYS A MAN WHO ASSAULTED HIS WIFE AND MOTHER IN LAW SHOT AND KILLED HIMSELF WHEN CONFRONTED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT. THIS HAPPENED LATE LAST MONTH AT A HOME ON COUNTRY FIELDS LANE. DEPUTIES FOUND TWO WOMEN WHO HAD BEEN ASSAULTED IN THE YARD AND INSIDE ON THE FLOOR OF THE HOME. A man is dead after deputies said he shot himself after he attacked his wife and mother-in-law in Mount Airy. The Surry County Sheriff’s Office said they responded on Jan. 28 at 10:21 p.m. to a domestic incident at the home in Mount Airy. Deputies said they discovered a woman in the yard who was assaulted. They also found another woman in the home who was assaulted and who was unresponsive.
