Adam Tellier hit the very first pitch over the fence for the Deacs, but only four hits followed that at-bat. Jake Reinisch and Tate Ballerstero both drove in two runs to pull away in the fifth inning. Wake Forest, with a quick turnaround, will be back at home Saturday at noon against Illinois.
