THE CURRENT SUPERINTENDENT, DOCTOR KIM MORRISON, WILL RETIRE ON MARCH 1ST AFTER MORE THAN 30 YEARS IN PUBLIC EDUCATION. SO APPLICATIONS ARE COMING IN NOW FOR HER REPLACEMENT. A woman is charged with operating an illegal childcare facility in Clemmons. The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office said they arrested Brittany Danielle Clark, 35, of Clemmons. Investigators said they began an investigation on Jan. 25 into the “The Nest” located at 6012 Stone Bluff Drive in Clemmons. They said in September of 2022, it was determined the facility was operating as an unlicensed facility within the state. They said the child care facility originally received a warning to cease operation from the North Department of Child Development and Early Education. They said in September of 2022, it was determined the facility was operating as an unlicensed facility within the state.

Investigators said on Feb. 1, 2024, along with the North Carolina Department of Child Development and Early Education, they discovered “The Nest” was still in operation and had not shut down even after they received a warning to cease operation as an unlicensed childcare facility.
