Carver High School student stabbed three times with scissors, Forsyth County deputies say
A student at Carver High School stabbed another student with scissors three times, according to Forsyth County deputies.
Thursday, Principal Dr. Thyais L. Maxwell wrote to the school community that Carver had been placed on hold after two students got into an "altercation" in a restroom. Maxwell clarified that the hold was just cautionary and that no one else was in danger.
The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said around 10:20 a.m., the school resources officer found a female student bleeding, from several places on her body.
The SRO and school staff provided aid until EMS arrived.

"One student produced a pair of scissors and injured the other," Maxwell wrote.
The injured girl was hospitalized. Maxwell said her injuries are not life-threatening.
"The student is alert and responsive," he wrote.

Investigators believe the two girls had met in a hallway and then got into the fight.
The school stated there were no other students involved in the fight.
'"Student safety is our top priority, and these actions will not be tolerated," Maxwell said, promising the suspected student will face consequences.

The Forsyth County Sheriff's office said the juvenile suspect faces charges of felony assault with a dangerous weapon inflicting serious bodily injury, and misdemeanor weapon on campus. Deputies arrested her and took her to a juvenile detention center.
