One person reported dead after Wednesday night shooting in Greensboro, officers say
Greensboro police report one person has died after a shooting Wednesday night.
Officers said they were called to Godwin Court at 9:31 p.m. on Jan. 31. Upon arriving, police found one victim, 19-year-old Jalin Williams, with life-threatening injuries.
Williams died at the scene of the shooting due to the severity of his condition, making this Greensboro's fifth homicide of 2024.

Officers found the one assault victim, but there is no suspect information available yet. Police reports say this case is now a homicide and is still being investigated.

Godwin Court is near the Brightwood and Summit Hills neighborhoods. It's at the end of Ludwick Lane, off Summit Avenue.
