Rossen Reports: What can you really get for $1 at fast-food joints?
Inflation is still hitting our wallets when it comes to food! The latest Consumer Price Index shows going out to eat, is costing us more than 5% more than this time last year. Now, fast-food chains are beefing up their value meals, making it easier for you to get more food for less. What does a dollar get you? What about $5? What about $10?
Rossen Reports is finding out at different fast-food chains, getting as much food while still staying under the limit. Watch the video above to see the results.
Below are some of the best value meals available right now:
- Taco Bell: This fast-food chain is launching a new value menu, with more items for $3. There’s a major variety of items you can get, including vegetarian options. We were able to pack in a lot of food for $10. You can mix and match and get a lot of different items.
- McDonald’s: Its value menu is officially called the $1, $2, $3 Dollar Menu and the items vary. We immediately noticed how many items you can get for $5 and under. You can mix and match items to get a variety of different meals for cheap.
- Burger King: At most locations, there are duo deals. You can get two Whopper Jr.s or wraps for $5. For $10, you can get two of those sandwiches, two small sodas and two small fries.
- Little Caesars: Hot-N-Ready pizzas cost $5.55 in most locations, which is a great deal for the size.
- Wendy’s: Try heading here if you’re looking for a deal too. Between breakfast meal deals and “biggie deals”, you can get prices on the food here too.
Remember, prices at different chains can be different. Each restaurant has different owners and can sometimes adjust the prices. We noticed that the prices differed at different McDonald's locations, some stuff even costing 10 cents more.
