I 12.COM. I’M. 603 NOW TO GREENSBORO WHERE POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING A HIT AND RUN WHERE A MAN WAS KILLED. WE HAVE VIDEO FROM THAT SENE. OFFICERS SAY THEY RESPONDED TO GUILFORD COLLEGE ROAD THERE NEAR HORNADAY ROAD YESTERDAY MORNING, FINDING 41 YEAR OLD MATTHEW DAVIS LYING DEAD IN THE ROAD. INVESTIGATORS. SAY THE CAR THAT HIT DAVIS LEFT THE SCENE BEFORE THEY ARRIVED AND POLICE SAY THEY BELIEVE IT WAS A SMALL, DARK PASSENGER CAR. IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION, CONTACT GREENSBORO POLICE. A CHATHAM COUNTY WOMAN WILL FACE A JUDGE THIS WEEK TO ANSWER TO ANIMAL CRUELTY CHARGES. AFTER MORE THAN THREE DOZEN DOGS WERE SEIZED FROM HER PROPERTY. AUTHORITIES SAY THEY BEGAN INVESTIGATING 36 YEAR OLD ALICIA CULBERSON’S PROPERTY AFTER RECEIVING A TIP ABOUT DISTRESSING SOUNDS FROM A LARGE NUMBER OF DOGS ON THE PROPERTY. DEPUTIES SAY THEY RECEIVED A SEARCH WARRANT FOR THE RESIDENCE ON OAKLEY CHURCH ROAD, AND THERE THEY SEIZED 44 DOGS, SIX OF THEM WERE FOUND DEAD. THE OTHER ANIMALS WERE TAKEN TO THE CHATHAM COUNTY ANIMAL RESOURCE CENTER. DEPUTIES SAYCULBERSON IS CHARGED WITH TEN COUNTS OF ANIMAL CRUELTY AND WILL APPEAR IN COURT ON WEDNESDAY. THE REWARD FOR INFORMATION IN THE MURDER OF A NORTH CAROLINA AT STATE UNIVERSITY STUDENT IS GETTING RAISED 15 YEARS AFTER HIS DEATH ON JANUARY 25TH, 2009.
