WE’RE TOLD THAT DISCOVERY CAME AFTER AN ANONYMOUS TIP AND THE- SCHOOL PRINCIPAL SAID IN A THE- LETTER TO PARENTS THAT THE HANDGUN WAS IN A STUDENT’S FANNY PACK. On Thursday, officers with the Kernersville Police Department received an anonymous tip about a student at East Forsyth in possession of a firearm on campus.

According to Rusty Hall, East Forsyth's principal, the student in question was immediately located, an administrative search was initiated, and during the search, the School Resource Officer and school administrators located a handgun in the student’s fanny pack.
