Two suspects are in custody after discharging firearms during an investigation on East Third Street in Winston-Salem, according to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
On Tuesday, several police vehicles were seen on East Third Street near Metropolitan Drive in Winston-Salem. There was also police tape and several markers on the scene.

The Winston-Salem Police Department says they are working on a joint operation with the ATF.
Officials with the ATF Charlotte Division Office said both suspects are expected to be in court later this week.
There is no information on the suspects or charges. Officials said the investigation is ongoing, and more information will be released when it becomes available.
