IF YOU SEE THEM, CALL 911. A WINSTON-SALEM MAN IS IN JAIL TONIGHT ACCUSED OF FOLLOWING A WOMAN FROM A STORE BACK TO HER HOME AND HIDING UNDER HER CAR. THE FORSYTH COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE BELIEVES THERE MAY BE OTHER VICTIMS. JOSHUA DAVIS JOINS US IN STUDIO NOW. AND JOSHUA, YOU’VE LEARNED THE SUSPECT HAS BEEN ARRESTED MULTIPLE TIMES BEFORE. THAT’S RIGHT, CHRISTINE. 25 YEAR OLD TREVOR LEWIS WAS ARRESTED MONDAY, BUT COURT DOCUMENTS SHOW A HISTORY OF SIMILAR OFFENSES, DATING BACK TO AS EARLY AS 2019. SOMETIMES IT VARIES, BUT YES, NO, NO. NORMALLY, PEOPLE THAT COMMIT THESE TYPES OF CRIMES, THIS IS NOT THEIR FIRST TIME. TREVOR LEWIS FACES ONE COUNT OF MISDEMEANOR STALKING AFTER THE FORSYTH COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE SAYS HE FOLLOWED A WOMAN FROM A STORE IN WINSTON-SALEM M BACK TO HER HOME IN CLEMMONS. THIS ISN’T THE FIRST ARREST FOR LEWIS. ACCORDING TO COURT DOCUMENTS, WINSTON-SALEM POLICE ARRESTED HIM LAST AUGUST AND CHARGED HIM WITH MISDEMEANOR PEEPING BACK IN MAY. POLICE ARRESTED HIM FOR SEXUAL BATTERY. HE WAS ACCUSED OF GRABBING A WOMAN. THERE WAS A SIMILAR CASE IN 2019 WHERE, AGAIN, ACCORDING TO COURT DOCUMENTS, LEWIS IS ACCUSED OF GRABBING A WOMAN AND WAS CHARGED WITH SEXUAL BATTERY. DEPUTIES SAY THEY’VE BEEN INVESTING, GETTING REPORTS FROM OTHER POTENTIAL VICTIMS. WE’VE HAD TO OTHER VICTIMS SINCE THIS CAME OUT YESTERDAY THAT HAS CAME FORWARD. DO FEEL THAT THERE MAY BE SOME MORE VICTIMS OUT THERE THAT HASN’T COME FORWARD YET. DEPUTIES SAY THEY HAVEN’T YET BEEN ABLE TO ESTABLISH LEWIS’S FULL MO. WE DO KNOW THAT IN SEVERAL OF THE CASES HE USES THE THE EXCUSE OF HE’S LOOKING FOR HIS LOST DOG. BUT THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE HAS THIS ADVICE. AS THE HOLIDAY SHOPPING SEASON PICKS UP. A Winston-Salem man is in jail, after he was accused of following a woman from a store back to her home and hiding under her car. Twenty-five-year-old Trevor Lewis was arrested on Monday, but court documents show a history of similar offenses dating back to as early as 2019. Robert Shinault, of the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office. This isn’t the first arrest for Lewis. According to court documents, Winston-Salem police arrested him in August 2023 and charged him with misdemeanor peeping. In May 2023, police arrested him for sexual battery, where he was accused of grabbing a woman. There was a similar case in 2019. According to court documents, Lewis was accused of grabbing a woman and was charged with sexual battery. Since his arrest Monday, deputies say they’ve been investigating reports from other potential victims. "We've had two other victims since this came out yesterday that came forward," Shinault said. "We do feel that there may be some more victims out there that haven't come forward yet." Deputies say they haven’t been able to establish Lewis’ full motive. However, In several other cases, he used the excuse that he was looking for his lost dog. With the holiday shopping season picking up, the sheriff's office has the following advice: "If you see something, please step forward and say something," Shinault said. "If it doesn't look right, if it just doesn't feel right. This isn’t the first arrest for Lewis. According to court documents, Winston-Salem police arrested him in August 2023 and charged him with misdemeanor peeping. In May 2023, police arrested him for sexual battery, where he was accused of grabbing a woman.
