Biltmore's holiday season is officially underway in Asheville with the arrival of one spectacular Christmas tree
YEAR’S EVE. TIS THE SEASON AND ANOTHER SIGN WE’RE GETTING CLOSER TO THE HOLIDAYS. THE BILTMORE ESTATE INSTALLED A VERY IMPORTANT PIECE TODAY. OUR JAMYA REED WAS IN ASHEVILLE FOR THE EXCITEMENT. BILTMORE IS GETTING READY FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON NOW THAT THE MOST IMPORTANT CHRISTMAS PIECE HAS BEEN PLACED INSIDE THIS DAY. JUST, I THINK FOR EVERYONE AT BILTMORE IS JUST A FAVORITE DAY. THE HOLIDAY SEASON HAS OFFICIALLY STARTED AT BILTMORE, THE 35 FOOT TALL FRASER FIR HAS ARRIVED AND BEEN RAISED. NOW THE FLORAL DESIGN TEAM GETS TO DECORATE EACH DESIGNER FOR PULLED FROM A LOT OF DIFFERENT POSSIBLE AREAS OF INSPIRATION, WHETHER SPECIFIC ARCHIVAL STORIES THAT WE HAVE ABOUT THE FAMILY OR CHRISTMAS OR A SPECIFIC ELEMENT IN THE ROOM. IT TOOK ABOUT 40 TEAM MEMBERS TO BRING THE TREE INSIDE THE MANSION TO SECURE IN PLACE. IT IS HARD. THEY TIE IT UP VERY NICE AND AS TIGHT AS ABSOLUTELY POSSIBLE. YOU’LL SEE IT’S A VERY TIGHT BALL WHEN IT COMES THROUGH HERE AND THEY DO IT IN AN OVAL. SO IT WILL FIT THROUGH THOSE DOORS AND GOING INTO THE BANQUET HALL CHRISTMAS AT BILTMORE OFFERS GUESTS A GLIMPSE OF WHAT IT WAS LIKE TO BE A GUEST OF THE VANDERBILTS DURING THE HOLIDAYS. AND THOSE ARE PART OF THE PROCESS. COUNT IT A PRIVILEGE. IT’S A GREAT HONOR TO BE A PART OF THE CHRISTMAS SEASON AT BILTMORE, NOT ONLY TO BE IN CHARGE OF THE TREE, WHICH IS MY SECOND YEAR SO FAR, BUT I’VE BEEN DOING IT FOR OVER 13 YEARS NOW. SO IT’S A WONDERFUL IT’S A WONDERFUL TRADITION HERE AT BILTMORE. PEOPLE LOVE KIND OF THE NOSTALGIA OF CHRISTMAS AND GOING BACK IN TIME. AND I THINK COMING TO BILTMORE GIVES YOU THAT FEELING. CHRISTMAS SEASON HERE AT BILTMORE OFFICIALLY STARTS ON FRIDAY AND ENDS JANUARY 7TH IN ASHEVILLE.
