TO BE WRAPPING THEIR DECOR FOR THE PANTHERS TODAY WITH THAT GAME TONIGHT. MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL. RIGHT. ALL EYES ARE ON THEM REALLY. AND YOU KNOW, IT’S SUCH A BLESSING THAT WE DIDN’T HAVE SUNDAY FOOTBALL HERE LOCALLY BECAUSE IT WOULD JUST WOULD HAVE BEEN RAINY AND GROSS. GROSS AND MUGGY EVEN AFTERWARDS. I’M YOUR HUSBAND IS GOING TO THE GAME IS HIS FIRST HE WOULD HAVE GIVEN YOU SO MUCH GRIEF IF HE HAD BAD WEATHER YESTERDAY, IT NEVER WOULD HAVE FORGIVEN ME PERSONALLY FOR IT. SO SO HERE IS A GIFT FOR HIM. PERSONALIZED FORECAST. YES, WE DID THIS FOR HIM. EVERYBODY, HERE’S A LOOK OUTSIDE OUR PANTHERS FORECAST IS LOOKING REALLY NICE. WE’VE GOT KICKOFF AT 715. MILD SUNSHINE. YOU MIGHT EVEN WANT TO GRAB THAT LAYER. MAYBE I’LL SEND HIM OUT THE DOOR WITH A SWEATER OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT, BECAUSE AS WE HEAD INTO THE LATER PART OF THE GAME, IT’LL BE SLIGHTLY COOL, VERY COMFORTABLE OVERALL, VERY PLEASANT. AND IT REALLY FEELS LIKE FALL NOW AND FEELS LIKE FOOTBALL WEATHER AS WE’RE HEADED THROUGH THE DAY TODAY. IT STAYS CLEAR AND DRY, COMFORTABLE HIGHS THROUGHOUT THIS WEEK AND RAIN CHANCES RETURNING BY THE WEEKEND AS WE’RE LOOKING AT OUR RAINFALL FROM YESTERDAY, WE ENDED UP WITH OVER THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH IN BOONE AS WELL AS MOUNT AIRY, ALMOST THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH THERE IN MARTINSVILLE. AND YOU SEE SOME SPOTS AT THAT ONE QUARTER OF AN INCH MARK, ESPECIALLY AROUND THE PIEDMONT TRIAD. BUT THOSE CONTINUED SCATTERED SHOWERS STUCK WITH US AS WE MOVE THROUGH A LOT OF THE DAY YESTERDAY. WE’RE STARTING OFF DRY. FIRST WARNING RADAR NETWORK, NICE AND CLEAR. THIS MORNING. TEMPERATURES ARE IN THE UPPER 50S, LOW 60S, 57IN GREENSBORO, 60 IN WINSTON-SALEM. OUR DEW POINTS ARE IN THE 50S AS WELL. SO VERY COMFORTABLE MORNING, EVEN JUST A FEW HOURS AGO, WE HAD MUGGIER DEW POINTS. SO IT’S IMPROVING GRADUALLY AS WE GO THROUGH THE DAY TODAY AND AS WE HEAD THROUGH INTO THE AFTERNOON. TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 70S WILL FEEL VERY PLEASANT AND FALL LIKE SUNNY SKIES, WINDS AT 5 TO 10MPH. OUR FOOTHILLS LOCATIONS IN THE MID 70S WITH SUNSHINE AND WINDS AT 5 TO 10MPH. AND IN THE MOUNTAINS, UPPER 60S BREEZIER. OUR WINDS GETTING UP TO 20MPH, BUT STILL VERY PLEASANT THROUGH THE DAY. OUR HOUR BY HOUR FORECAST SHOWS THOSE UPPER 70S THROUGH THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS HERE WE END UP WITH THAT SUNSHINE AND VERY CLEAR AND BEAUTIFUL OCCASION CLOUDS AS WE GO THROUGH THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS, BUT STAYING NICE AND DRY AND AS WE HEAD TOWARDS YOUR WEDNESDAY TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 70S, OF COURSE, WE ARE STILL WATCHING THE ATLANTIC, THOUGH. WE’RE GETTING WE ARE IN THE PEAK OF HURRICANE SEASON FOR THE ATLANTIC. AND WHAT WE’RE WATCHING IS RAPID INTENSIFICATION. SO TROPICAL STORM NIGEL BECAME HURRICANE NIGEL THIS MORNING WITH WINDS AT 80MPH. BY TOMORROW, WE ARE EXPECTING IT WILL BE A MAJOR HURRICANE, CATEGORY THREE OR HIGHER, AND THEN IT’LL CONTINUE TO PUSH NORTH AND THEN NORTHEAST AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. THOSE PEAK WINDS AT 80MPH WILL INCREASE. AND THEN WE’LL BE STAYING FAR OFF THE COAST, THOUGH. SO WE ARE NOT EXPECTING ANY LOCAL IMPACTS HERE. REALLY ANY IMPACTS TO THE ENTIRETY OF THE CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES. HERE’S A LOOK AT THE SEVEN DAY FORECAST. TEMPERATURES RIGHT AROUND NORMAL FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS. BY THE WEEKEND, THOUGH, COOLER THAN NORMAL, MID TO LOW 70S AND SOME SHOWERS ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.
