GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA IS NOW LAUNCHING ITS FREE BOOK FRIDAY PROGRAM KIDS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 ARE ALLOWED TO PICK OUT A BOOK FROM ANY TRIAD GOODWILL STORE. NO PURCHASE IS REQUIRED THROUGH AUGUST 25TH. PARENTS, YOUR CHILD MUST BE WITH YOU IN ORDER FOR THIS DEAL TO WORK. WE HAVE A LIST OF LOCATIONS TAKING PART IN THIS ONLINE ON OUR WEBSITE AT WXII. 12.COM. A GOODWILL STORE MANAGER SAYS THAT THE PROGRAM OFFERS LESSONS BEYOND READING. IT DOES. IT ALLOWS THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET GET THEIR MINDS THINKING AND ON THE BACKSIDE OF THAT, THEY COULD ALSO DONATE THAT BOOK BACK WHICH AT THE END OF THAT CAN ALSO BE A LESSON LEARNED IN ITSELF ABOUT RECYCLING, ABOUT PWHAT IT IS TO GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY AS WELL. We're not asking for purchase and it's allowing the youth to get their minds started and to think a little bit," said Huth.Families do not need to return the books to the store but Huth said if they chose to, it can offer children a lesson beyond the pages of the book."It allows them the opportunity to get their mind thinking and on the backside of that, they can donate that book back, which, at the end of that can be a lesson learned in itself about recycling and about what it is to give back to the community as well," Huff said.Free Book Friday starts July 21 and continues every Friday until Aug. 25. The new program is called Free Book Friday.

Parents can bring their children to browse the store and pick out a book.
