The High Point Police Department is investigating a shooting near the campus of High Point University. Authorities said the call came in at 7:41 p.m. on Tuesday. Police said that it happened at the intersection of Lexington Avenue and University Parkway. Police said that one vehicle crashed. According to police, two drivers got into an altercation before shots were fired. Police did not say if the two drivers began shooting at each other before or after the crash. Police said two men were taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. Police said the scene was cleared around midnight. This is a developing story.
