The Winston-Salem Police Department is investigating a crash that resulted in a person being struck by a vehicle. Police said the driver hit a person on highway 52 Northbound by Akron Drive. They said someone was walking from Akron Drive to U.S. Highway 52 in the dark around 5:36 a.m. They said the vehicle's mirror hit the person. They said the driver pulled over to help the person who was hit.
