TRIAD. A MAN IS CHARGED WITH TRYING TO BREAK INTO A HOME AND FIRING SHOTS INSIDE OF IT. THE ALAMANCE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE SAYS IN EARLY FEBRUARY, JACOB WARD WENT TO A HOME ON GLEN RAVEN ROAD. DEPUTIES SAY HE WAS WEARING A MASK AND CARRYING A PISTOL. INVESTIGATORS SAY SOMEONE INSIDE THE HOME HEARD WARD FIRE THREE GUNSHOTS AND LATER DISCOVERED ROUNDS HIT THE HOME. The victim identified the male as Jacob Tyler Ward. The victim said they immediately closed the door and ran to the bedroom. Then they told deputies that they had heard three gunshots from outside. Deputies discovered three rounds had struck the home. There were no injuries.Deputies did not find Ward that day.On Friday, Feb. 24, deputies arrested Ward, who was found on Cloverdale Street in Burlington.He was taken to the Alamance County Detention Center. An 18-year-old was charged with firing shots inside a property in Burlington, Alamance County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies responded to a report of a possible home invasion in the 400 block of Glen Raven at 11:45 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4.

When they arrived, residents told law enforcement that someone was knocking on the door.

The victim stated that after opening the door, a man wearing a mask was waving a pistol.

The victim identified the male as Jacob Tyler Ward. The victim said they immediately closed the door and ran to the bedroom.
