Man in 100 mph crash on a busy road faces a dozen charges, police say
SPENT HOURS REPAIRING. AND IN HIGH POINT DRIVERS ALSO HAD TO DEAL WITH THE CLOSURE DUE TO DOWNED POWER LINES. THIS WAS IN THE 1500 BLOCK OF WEST CHESTER DRIVE. POLICE SAY IT HAPPENED AFTER A MAN IDENTIFIED AS ROMAR HOOD CRASHED HIS CAR. AUTHORITIES BELIEVE HE WAS GOING MORE THAN 100 MILES PER HOUR JUST BEFORE THE ACCIDENT. WE ARE TOLD HOOD TRIED TO RUN AWAY FROM THE SCENE BUT WAS ARRESTED. BOTH HE AND A PASSENGER IN THE CAR SUFFERED INJURIES, BUT THEY ARE EXPECTED TO BE OKAY. WE

A man was arrested after causing a crash, shutting down a busy road for several hours, High Point police said. Authorities said they believe he was going more than 100,oo0 miles per hour. Officers said Hood was arrested more than a dozen times in the last six years. No other vehicles were involved in the crash. Hood and a passenger in the car suffered minor injuries. Hood was released from the hospital and is facing several charges including, driving while license suspended or revoked, failure to stop at red light and reckless driving.The passenger is not currently being charged. Hood was given no bond. No other vehicles were involved in the crash. Hood and a passenger in the car suffered minor injuries.
