YOUR DAY. DON’T LET THE WEATHER BE ONE OF THEM. GET METEOROLOGIST TO BRIAN SLOCUM ACCURATE FORECAST. DOWNLOAD OUR APP TODAY. SPEAKING OF SURPRISE, THIS IS HOW ABOUT TEMPERATURES LIKE WE’VE SEEN THIS WEEK DURING THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY? YEAH. 70 THE DAY BEFORE YESTERDAY, AS I. 68 DEGREES ONE DEGREE OFF THE RECORD AND 16 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL YESTERDAY. WE’RE STILL IN THE SIXTIES NOW. OVER THE PIEDMONT. TRY IT AND WE’VE GOT FALLING RAIN. SO GET WARM WINDS. TESTAMENT TO THE GULF AIR THAT’S BEEN SQUEEZED IN. AND SCATTERED SHOWERS ARE A SHORT TERM ISSUE FOR MORNING COMMUTERS. A LOT OF THIS IS GOING TO BE MOVING OUT BY SEVEN OR 8:00 THIS MORNING, BUT MAY RETURN SOUTHERN AREAS LATER TODAY. MOST OF THE RAIN IS AHEAD OF THE FRONT. THE FRONT IS SLOWLY BUT SURELY EASING EASTWARD AS THESE AREAS OF LOW PRESSURE THAT ARE DEVELOPING ALONG IT NOT ONLY ENHANCE THE RAINFALL, BUT THEY SLOW THE FRONT DOWN. SO GOT SOME MOISTURE MOVING THROUGH. IT’S DRY OR ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THIS, BUT THIS THING IS GOING TO MOVE IN AND PARK ITSELF ALONG THE COAST AND TRY TO BRING THESE IMPULSES IN. SO THE CHALLENGE FOR THIS AFTERNOON’S RAIN CHANCE IS HOW FAR EAST THIS FRONT GETS. I DO THINK SOUTHERN AREAS HAVE ABOUT A 30 TO 40% CHANCE OF SEEING ADDITIONAL SHOWERS. THE FARTHER NORTH AND WEST YOU ARE THE LESS OF A RAIN CHANCE YOU’RE GOING TO HAVE TODAY. SO WE KIND OF DROP THINGS OFF AFTER AT LEAST SOME SOME SCATTERED SHOWERS ARE IN PLACE THIS MORNING AND THEN REDEVELOP THEM LATE IN THE AFTERNOON INTO THE EARLY EVENING. TEMPERATURES DESPITE A NORTHWESTERLY WIND DEVELOPING, WILL LIKELY EASE INTO THE LOW TO MID SIXTIES LATER THIS AFTERNOON FOR THE FOOTHILLS, A HIGH NEAR 60 RAIN CHANCES LIMITED TO 20%. THAT DOES INCLUDE THE EARLY PART OF THE MORNING. AND I DO THINK AREAS COULD SQUEEZE OUT A LITTLE SUN HERE AND THERE, ESPECIALLY ONCE THIS EARLY MORNING WAVE MOVES OUT AND BEFORE THE AFTERNOON WAVE STARTS TO MOVE BACK IN. 53 IN THE MOUNTAINS TODAY. I’VE GOT A DRY FORECAST. I WILL SAY, THOUGH, A STRAY SHOWER FULLY RULED. OUT. BUT REALLY, A BIG PART OF. YES. LET’S DO THIS. AS YOU CAN SEE, THE RAIN MOVING OUT FAIRLY QUICKLY. SOME BREAKS IN THE CLOUD COVER ALLOWING TEMPERATURES TO WARM BACK IN THE SIXTIES. CLOUDS GET HEAVIER, ESPECIALLY SOUTHERN AREAS IN THE AFTERNOON. WE’VE GOT A FEW SPOTS OF RAIN THAT ARE TRYING TO TRACK IN. A LOT OF THIS IS GOING TO BE EAST OF US. SO I HAVE ADDED █A 40% CHANCE. MOST OF THAT. IT’S GOING TO BE ACROSS OUR SOUTHERN AREAS. BUT I DO THINK THIS FRONT SLOWING DOWN IS GOING TO AT LEAST BRING THE POSSIBILITY FOR SOME LATE DAY SHOWERS. AND THEN WE DRY OUT FOR THE BULK OF THE FRIDAY NIGHT AND THEN INTO SATURDAY RAIN CHANCES. WE’LL START TO INCREASE FROM THE SOUTH LATE IN THE DAY, ON SATURDAY INTO SATURDAY EVENING AS TEMPERATURES ARE COOLING DOWN. BUT IT’S NOT AS COLD AS IT COULD BE, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU TALK ABOUT HOW WARM IT WAS THIS WEEK. COOL ENOUGH TO BRING WINTRY MIX IN, BUT WE’RE TALKING THIRTIES, NOT TWENTIES. SO AS FAR AS IMPACT GOES, I THINK TRAVEL IMPACT WILL BE HIGHEST IN THE WEST WHERE THEY COULD SEE SOME SNOWFALL ACCUMULATION AND THE REST OF THE AREA MIGHT SEE SOME SLIPPERY SPOTS, ESPECIALLY IF IT DOES, WE DO GET SOME SNOW MIXING IN AND FALLING VERY HARD FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. BUT WET ROADS, ESPECIALLY WITH THE WARM WEEK THAT WE’VE HAD, THIS IS NOT A SITUATION WHERE I THINK ROADS ARE GOING TO TURN SLIPPERY. IN FACT, BY BY MONDAY MORNING, WE’RE STILL A
