POSSIBLE SUSPECT. AND IN WINSTON-SALEM, POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING A DRIVE BY SHOOTING THAT LEFT ONE MAN INJURED ON HIGHWAY 421. POLICE SAY AROUND ONE THIS MORNING, A MAN WAS DRIVING NORTH ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN SOMEONE BEGAN FIRING AT HIM. THE VICTIM WAS ABLE TO DRIVE AWAY AND GET OFF ON THE JONESTOWN ROAD EXIT AND CALL 911. POLICE SAY THE VICTIM WAS IN CRITICAL BUT STABLE CONDITION. NOW, THIS PHOTO SHOWS THE CAR WINDOW WAS RIDDLED WITH BULLET HOLES. INVESTIGATORS SAY 16 BULLETS WERE FIRED. A man is in critical condition after a drive-by shooting on Saturday morning. Just after midnight, patrol officers with the Winston Salem Police Department responded to reports of a shooting on Highway 421 North.Officers found a 31-year old man in his vehicle on the off ramp of Highway 421 North, near Jonestown Road. The victim was shot multiple times. He was taken to the hospital, according to officers. Investigators said the victim was traveling North on Highway 421 near Old Vineyard Road when a dark colored Nissan passenger vehicle pulled next to the victim’s car and several people in the Nissan vehicle fired multiple times into the victim’s vehicle. No other witnesses have been located at this time. The scene was processed by WSPD Forensics. At this time, officers say the motive of this crime is unknown. Officers found a 31-year old man in his vehicle on the off ramp of Highway 421 North, near Jonestown Road.

The victim was shot multiple times. He was taken to the hospital, according to officers.
