3 young children dead following Greensboro house fire
GOING TO BE CHILLY. HIGHS ONLY IN THE FORTIES. JUST INTO THE NEWSROOM, FAMILY MEMBERS ARE SHARING THE NAMES OF THREE CHILDREN KILLED IN A HOUSE FIRE IN GREENSBOROUGH ON MONDAY. AREAS ZANON AND A NICE LITTLE WERE ALL UNDER THE AGE OF FIVE. THEIR FAMILIES SHARED THIS PICTURE WITH US. THE FIRESTORM STARTED JUST BEFORE 8:00 MONDAY MORNING AT A HOME ON GRIMSLEY STREET. THE CHILDREN’S MOTHER WAS ALSO FOUND INSIDE THAT HOME. AND WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL. THE CAUSE OF THAT FIRE HAS NOT YET BEEN DETERMINED.

Three children under the age of 5 were found dead following a house fire in Greensboro on Monday morning. According to Greensboro fire official Dwayne Church, crews were called to the 2500 block of Grimsley Street just before 8 a.m. regarding a fully involved house fire.“There was fire coming out of every window, the attic access, and also the front door," Church said. Upon arrival, fire crews found the home completely engulfed in flames and were told that there were children inside the home. After extinguishing the fire, officials found three children, all under the age of 5 years old, dead inside the home. The Little family identified the three children as Zanden, Aerious and A'nyis Little, according to a GoFundMe page.Their mother was also found inside and taken to the hospital, fire officials said. She is currently conscious and alert.Fire officials said they heard there are four other children that lived there, who are believed to be school-age, and weren't home at the time. “It really does bring it real. I’m a mom of a single child but to lose 3? At one time? Oh my god, I can’t even imagine what the mom is feeling at this time," said Sharon Hightower, Greensboro City Councilwoman for District 1.Greensboro City Councilwoman Sharon Hightower said when she heard the news, she knew she had to come out and offer support to the people in her district.“We’re right near around a holiday season which should be a time of joy, but right now, it’s just so much sadness surrounding this situation," Hightower said. Hightower and Church said they're asking for thoughts and prayers for the family, friends, neighbors, and first responders. “I can’t imagine what the family’s going through, and I would ask the viewers to keep the family in your thoughts and prayers," Church said.Greensboro Fire Department officials and Greensboro Police Department are currently at the scene and working to determine a cause for the fire.
