A place to call home: 13-year-old Lela needs a patient, loving family to adopt her
Horizons Residential Care Center has been the home for Lela for the last several years, and the mission is to create opportunities for people living with disabilities. Lela is in need of a permanent family to adopt her. Jane Price, a Qualified Professional has worked with Lela immensely. Price spoke on behalf of Lela and explained how much she has positively grown over the last several years. "She has big smiles, she loves to play and loves to stay very busy. She learned how to walk in a walker and she does make lots of vocalizations and indicates her wants and needs, Price said. Most of all, Price said Lela needs a patient adoptive family, one that will spend quality time with her. "She has good vision, good hearing and goes to school at Lowrance Middle School here in town and does quite well," Price said.Reach out to the Children's Home Society at 336-271-7989 to help provide a place to call home for Lela.
