Maria DeBone joined WXII 12 News as a reporter in May 2022.

Prior to joining WXII, Maria worked as a reporter at WBTW News in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Maria is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, so you'll often find her sporting black-and-gold attire and rooting for the Steelers!

Maria graduated from Kent State University with a major in broadcast journalism and a minor in political science.

While in college, Maria interned at several places, including North Carolina! It was at WBTV News in Charlotte that she fell in love with the Carolinas and knew she wanted to move south. She also interned at KDKA News in Pittsburgh and ABC News in Washington D.C.

When not working, Maria enjoys shopping, biking and hanging out with her cat, Phoebe.
